Music and Technology Expert Jim Griffin to Speak at Aspen
Digital Distribution Pioneer to Keynote PFF 2008 Aspen Summit

WASHINGTON D.C. - Jim Griffin, Managing Director of OneHouse LLC and Advisor to Warner Music Group, is a renowned expert on issues resulting from the intersection of music and technology and will speak on August 18 th as PFF’s opening keynote at its annual Aspen Summit.

Jim Griffin advises Warner Music Group on digital distribution of music and possible new licensing models. Prior to his work at OneHouse, Griffin started and ran the technology department at Geffen Records where he led a team that distributed the first full-length commercial song online. He is also co-founder of the Pho group, an organization that meets for discussions on the digital delivery of art and the new economy in music, movies, books and all media. Jim testified in July 2000 before the Senate Judiciary Committee at its oversight hearing on file sharing and music licensing. He regularly moderates video and television shows on digital entertainment, has been keynote speaker at technology-related conferences, and lectures annually at business schools. In addition to serving as an agent for constructive change in media and technology, he is an author, serving as a columnist for magazines, and is on the board of directors of various companies and associations.

This year's Aspen Summit will once again feature high-caliber keynote speakers and riveting discussion panels on such topics as digital copyright enforcement, online advertising, and next-generation communications networks. Speakers this year include NTIA Acting Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information, Meredith Attwell Baker; Verizon's Chief Technology Officer, Richard Lynch; Patrick J. Esser, President of Cox Communications Inc.; and Richard W. Fisher, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. The Chairman's Dinner speaker will be Frontier Communications Corporation President and CEO, Maggie Wilderotter.
