Gifford to Speak at F2C:Freedom to Connect
PFF President Ray Gifford is scheduled to participate on a panel at the F2C: Freedom to Connect conference. The event, being held April 3rd and 4th in Silver Spring, Maryland, will focus on regulatory issues surrounding "Internet Freedom," including network neutrality. - May Shares Expertise On Spectrum Allocation
Earlier this week, Senior Fellow Randolph May was a featured participant in "Improving Spectrum Management Through Economic or Other Incentives:
A Workshop," hosted by The National Academies Computer Science and Telecommunications Board and sponsored by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. May participated on the panel, "Exclusive Spectrum Rights and Secondary Markets" and shared his views on regulatory action and incentives for more efficient use and allocation of spectrum.
- Thierer Addresses Roundtable on Content Controls
Last week, Senior Fellow Adam Thierer was a featured speaker at a roundtable event on content regulation, sponsored by the Internet Content Ratings Association. The event was focused on workable, private parental controls for media content. Thierer's remarks concerned the future of the current content regulatory scheme in an environment of media convergence.
