Center for Communications and Competition Policy

About the Center

Next generation Internet Protocol based networks may very well be the “utilities” of the 21st Century but they are unlikely to thrive and produce consumer benefits under policies and rules developed in the late 19th Century for wagon wheels and railroads. The Progress & Freedom Foundation’s Center for Communications and Competition Policy will develop and advocate an evidence-based policy framework that relies to the maximum extent possible on competitive forces to achieve next generation IP-based infrastructure deployment and service innovation.
